Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro strongly criticized Kamala Harris this week after learning about her past comments in an unpublished memoir.

Harris claimed in her book that Shapiro was overbearing and wanted to act as a co-president if they won the election.

Harris stated that Shapiro “mused that he would want to be in the room for every decision,” leading her to clarify, “a vice president is not a co-president.”

She further questioned if Shapiro “would be unable to settle for a role as number two and that it would wear on our partnership.”

When informed of Harris’s claims during an interview, Shapiro responded, “I did ask a bunch of questions.”

“Wouldn’t you ask questions if someone was talking to you about forming a partnership and working together?” Shapiro said.

Harris also wrote that Shapiro was curious about the number of bedrooms in the vice-presidential residence and whether Pennsylvania art could be loaned to the house.

In response to these points, Shapiro told The Atlantic, “That’s complete and utter bullsh*t.”

“I can tell you that her accounts are just blatant lies.”

When asked if he felt betrayed by Harris, Shapiro said, “I mean, she’s trying to sell books and cover her *ss.”

“I shouldn’t say ‘cover her *ss.’ I think that’s not appropriate … She’s trying to sell books. Period.”

Kamala Harris underperformed against President Donald Trump in the 2024 race and ultimately did not choose Shapiro as her running mate.

She selected Minnesota Governor Tim Walz instead, whose campaign was hurt by scandals and poor debate performance.

Observers speculated that Harris passed over Shapiro due to his Jewish heritage, which could alienate far-Left Democrats with anti-Israel or antisemitic views.
