Trump Flips Burgers at McDonald’s Without Flipping Political Endorsements
Clear Facts
- McDonald’s allowed former President Donald Trump to make a public appearance as a fry cook but is not endorsing any candidate for the 2024 presidential election.
- Trump’s visit to a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania included serving customers and criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris for allegedly lying about working at the chain.
- McDonald’s stated that it remains neutral in political endorsements, emphasizing its core value of welcoming everyone.
In an unexpected twist over the weekend, former President Donald Trump donned an apron and took on the role of a fry cook at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania. This appearance, however, should not be mistaken as an endorsement from the fast-food giant for Trump’s 2024 presidential bid.
“Upon learning of the former president’s request, we approached it through the lens of one of our core values: we open our doors to everyone,” McDonald’s stated in an internal email.
The company made it clear that they are not taking sides in the upcoming presidential race, emphasizing, “McDonald’s does not endorse candidates for elected office and that remains true in this race for the next president. We are not red or blue – we are golden.”
During his visit, Trump was seen shaking hands with the McDonald’s owner and interacting with customers while taking playful jabs at Vice President Kamala Harris.
“Hello, everybody. It’s my first day at McDonald’s, I’m looking for a job,” he quipped upon arrival.
The event drew a large crowd of Trump supporters who gathered around the restaurant. Trump took the opportunity to criticize Harris, accusing her of fabricating her past work experience at McDonald’s.
“I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala at McDonald’s,” he remarked from the drive-thru window.
McDonald’s has also extended invitations to Harris and her running mate to visit their establishments, maintaining their stance of neutrality. Harris has claimed that her first job was at McDonald’s, a statement the corporation acknowledged with pride, despite lacking records from the early ’80s.
“While we and our franchisees don’t have records for all positions dating back to the early ‘80s, what makes ‘1 in 8’ so powerful is the shared experience so many Americans have had,” McDonald’s noted.
Trump, however, was quick to challenge Harris’ claims, stating, “She shouldn’t lie about it. McDonald’s confirmed four times that she never worked here.”
Despite the political undertones, the visit was a significant moment for the local McDonald’s owner, Derek Giacomantonio, who expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the former president.
“As a small, independent business owner, it is a fundamental value of my organization that we proudly open our doors to everyone who visits the Feasterville community,” Giacomantonio shared.

I just wish he would be more prudent when speaking of certain people and subjects. He is more politician than business man.

Kamala Harris just like Joe, he was accused of plagiarizing material during his first bid, it was covered up by the news. JB accused the driver of the truck that killed his first wife of being at fault but if anyone looked at the location, his wife had a clear view for about one mile.
