Trump rips Fox News for ‘pushing Democrat agenda’, offers to help CNN to go ‘Conservative’

Former President Donald Trump lashed out at Fox News on Sunday, accusing the network of pushing a Democratic agenda and going harder on Republicans than Democrats.
“Wow! Fox News is really pushing the Democrats and the Democrat agenda. Gets worse every single day,” Trump wrote on his social-media platform, Truth Social. “So many Dems interviewed with only softball questions, then Republican counterparts get creamed.”
It’s unclear what interviews Trump was referring to, but he also specifically called out Karl Rove, a former GOP White House official who is now a Fox News contributor.
“RINO Karl Rove is unwatchable, very negative, and on all the time – Has a big record of losing!” Trump said. “Not an easy place to be as a Republican, especially with all of the ‘pervert’ purchased ads.” It’s unclear which ads he was referring to.
Rove served as a senior advisor and deputy chief of staff during the Bush administration in the 2000s. He has appeared on Fox News several times to discuss the Justice Department’s investigation into Trump’s handling of government records and the FBI’s early-August search of Mar-a-Lago.
“None of these documents are his to have taken,” Rove said last week, citing the Presidential Records Act.
While criticizing Fox News on Sunday, Trump also said that if the network’s cable-news competitor CNN adopted a conservative approach, he would support it.
“If ‘low ratings’ CNN ever went Conservative, they would be an absolute gold mine, and I would help them to do so!” Trump said.
Trump’s comments about CNN — a popular target of his since the early days of his presidency — come as the network appears to be shifting its strategy to try to attract a wider range of viewers.
On Friday, the longtime CNN White House correspondent John Harwood abruptly parted ways with the network shortly after calling Trump a “dishonest demagogue” and saying that President Joe Biden’s characterization Thursday of Trump’s MAGA movement as a threat to democracy was “true.”
Brian Stelter also had a sudden exit from CNN last month. Stelter, whose show and newsletter “Reliable Sources” covered media, was openly critical of Fox News and other right-wing outlets.
The shake-ups come after Chris Licht took over as CEO of CNN earlier this year following the departure of Jeff Zucker.
Several unnamed CNN employees and former staffers told The Washington Post they viewed the recent string of exits as evidence of plans by Licht to reposition CNN as an ideologically neutral network by limiting voices critical of Trump.

Oh Lord. A new show should be down the middle it doesn’t pick one of the other reports what is going on. I’m tired of all this mess I watch Fox but only certain hours. I don’t watch Caldwel or any of that crap. But they have every right to have Democrats and Republicans but make it equal treatment. Thanks to Biden and his rhetoric this country is further apart than ever. It’s a shame to see. It’s scary and I do resent him calling anyone that supports Trump is a threat to democracy. My husband was military bought and put his life on the line many many for this country. A clear and present danger and a threat to our democracy is what they called terrorist. And I can tell you one thing I am no terrorist. I love this country but I do not like the way it is now. And I’m not gonna get into that. And Biden will never ever get my vote for sure or any of his little minions. Even those that claim they’re conservative Republicans but they are not I say that to you. I miss the good all days but I also would like to see the country work together to build an Tremendous nation that the entire world respects again. We are laughingstock at this point.

Eve, well said! My son is currently in the Military and has been in since 2012. I am so proud him and his wife. They are both Combat medics and they met while at Fort Benning. I’m now a very proud “Paw paw” of 3. So many of the soldiers, Airmen, and Marines, I meet through them all did better under Trump. We are patriots who just want our Country back. My family is multiracial, Black, White, and Hispanic and we don’t like what is happening under this “Group” of people.. 2024 can’t get here fast enough for me, I am so ready to go vote!

I was just looking at the similarities between January 6 and Tiananmen Square today. There were no tanks around on Jan 6 but a civilian did get killed. And the media did spin the story saying that civilians attacked, and even killed, police. Just like the Chinese media did. Now we have political prisoners, US citizens, being held indefinitely in jail without due process. I wonder how many of those there are in China. I pray to God this country wakes up before we become a satellite of China, and praying to God will be considered a subversive act.
