WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • In an interview with Jimmy Fallon late last month, Senator Bernie Sanders discussed in detail how he thinks President Donald Trump would act during election night.
  • Sanders said Trump would declare win at around 10 p.m. and will claim the poll as fraudulent.
  • While Trump did not go live during election night, he held a press conference at the White House early Wednesday and announced he is winning, almost exactly the way as Sanders predicted.

Last month’s interview of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) with Jimmy Fallon has been getting a lot of shares because of the lawmaker’s prophetic forecast of how President Donald Trump would act during election night.

Sanders said during “The Tonight Show” on October 23 that research indicates Democrats would potentially utilize mail-in ballots and Republicans will most likely choose to go to voting booths on the day of the elections.

The senator also said that there is a high probability that the Republican votes will be the first to be counted during Election Day.

Sanders confidently anticipated how Trump would try to take this opportunity for his favor.

He detailed that around 10 o’clock on that day when Trump is gaining Michigan, Wisconsin, he would go live on TV, and he would thank the Americans for voting for him again, adding that the race is over. The following and succeeding days though, when the mail-in ballots began getting in, Biden would then take the lead, winning on other states, and at that moment Trump would say that the election is fraudulent, claiming that the mail-in ballots were dubious.

The former Democratic presidential contender added that Trump would say he will never leave office because of the claim.

On Tuesday at 10 p.m, Trump did not make his announcement, rather, he held a White House press conference early Wednesday, misleadingly claiming a win against Democratic nominee Joe Biden, despite millions of votes are yet to be counted and no reliable group declared he won the election.

During the presser, Trump emphasized that he is getting set to win the election, adding that they would want to stop all the votings. The president explained that they don’t want the opposition to discover any more ballots at 4 a.m and including them on the count.

Trump said one more time that as far as he knows, they already won the elections.

Sanders’ interview with Fallon has gone viral and viewed less than 7 million times on Twitter.
