A video showing reckless shooting on a Dallas bridge during New Year’s Eve has resulted in multiple arrests and sparked public outrage.

Police say suspects were part of several gun violence incidents across North Texas.

Anthony Acevedo and Jose AlarconSanchez were identified as two suspects seen firing from the Margaret McDermott Bridge over Interstate 30.

Officials stated the gunfire, viewed worldwide, led to a large-scale investigation involving the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Police recovered more than 100 shell casings near the bridge.

AlarconSanchez was previously arrested the same morning for a similar offense by Grand Prairie Police.

Investigators linked Anderson Derce Lara to an earlier road-rage shooting where he allegedly fired into a vehicle with three adults and three children inside.

The search led authorities to multiple firearms, including rifles seen in the viral video, tying Derce Lara to both the bridge and road-rage incidents.

Charges include discharge of a firearm in certain municipalities for Acevedo and AlarconSanchez, and six counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for Derce Lara.

Acevedo was released on bond, while AlarconSanchez and Derce Lara remain detained due to immigration holds.

“If you put lives at risk in Dallas, we will identify you, investigate thoroughly, and hold you accountable,” Dallas Police Chief Daniel Comeaux said.

The investigation remains open as authorities continue their work.
