Logan Paul announced he was auctioning his rare Pikachu Illustrator card, which he originally purchased in 2021 for $5,275,000.

The card became well known after Paul wore it on a diamond necklace during his entrance at WrestleMania 38.

He sold the card through Goldin Online Auction, setting the starting bid at $13.3 million and ultimately earning a record-breaking $16.4 million.

The winning bidder was AJ Scaramucci, son of former White House press secretary Anthony Scaramucci.

AJ Scaramucci is the founder of Solari Capital and stated that this purchase was just the beginning of his quest to “collect the uncollectible.”

“I’m on a quest to buy a T. rex dinosaur fossil, I’m going to buy the Declaration of Independence, and I’m not stopping there,” said Scaramucci.

This sale highlights not only the rising value of rare collectibles but also the growing interest from young entrepreneurs.
