President Donald Trump said a formal announcement is coming on designating the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization.

“It will be done in the strongest and most powerful terms,” Trump told Just the News. “Final documents are being drawn.”

This action follows Texas labeling the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group and ISGAP publishing a comprehensive report warning about its presence in the United States.

The ISGAP report alleges that the Muslim Brotherhood has attempted to infiltrate key government agencies, shaped American civil rights policy, and increased its influence in education and social media.

Charles Asher Small, executive director of ISGAP, welcomed Trump’s statement: “We welcome President Trump’s statements and the growing recognition that the Muslim Brotherhood, its ideology and network pose a serious challenge to the United States and democratic societies.”

He added, “A formal U.S. designation would represent an important first step to confront the Muslim Brotherhood in the United States. This will require sustained, evidence-based policy, serious scrutiny of its affiliated structures and funding streams, and long-term investment in democratic resilience.”

The ISGAP study details alleged terror ties, funding sources from places like Qatar, and similarities to other extremist groups in ideology and goals.

ISGAP continues to encourage congressional action and organizes expert discussion to address the Muslim Brotherhood’s impact.

Sebastian Gorka, Deputy Assistant to the President, stated, “The Brotherhood is the progenitor of all modern Jihadist terror groups, from al-Qaeda to HAMAS. The time has come.”
