“I’m Going to Bed”: Biden’s Mic Cut Off After Several Odd Outbursts

Clear Facts:
- Vietnam Presser: President Biden displayed unusual behavior during a press conference in Vietnam, including stating he was “going to bed” in the midst of answering a question and seeming confusion over which reporters to address.
- Unexpected End: The event concluded with Biden being cut off mid-sentence, with many speculating about his mental well-being, especially in the context of his 2024 reelection bid.
- Vacation Oversight: In a separate incident, Biden reportedly called Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre during her vacation, unaware she was off, adding to the concerns about his cognitive awareness.
In a recent press conference in Vietnam, President Joe Biden made several unconventional remarks that sent social media platforms, particularly X (formerly known as Twitter), into a frenzy.
While attending the G20 summit in India, the President hosted a presser in Hanoi, Vietnam. The event saw Biden call upon a selection of pre-chosen reporters who, intriguingly, seemed to share a common thread.
Biden gets VERY confused during his "press conference" in Vietnam:
"I'll just follow my orders here. Staff, is there anybody that hasn't spoken yet? I ain't calling on you." pic.twitter.com/8xSmP94ZZK— RNC Research (@RNCResearch) September 10, 2023
One of the most notable moments occurred when VOA correspondent, Anita Powell, inquired about the lack of communication between President Biden and President Xi Jinping of China, highlighting that the two leaders hadn’t spoken in nearly 10 months.
Responding to this, Biden reflected on the domestic crises President Xi might be navigating, before expressing his belief that the recent communication hiatus doesn’t necessarily portend a strained U.S.-China relationship.
“As a matter of fact,” he elaborated, “I think it’s less likely to cause that kind of conflict.”
Biden then oddly remarked, “And look, nobody likes having celebrated international meetings, if you don’t know what you want at the meeting. If you don’t have a game plan. He may have a game plan. He just hasn’t shared it with me,” pausing to add, “But I tell you what, I don’t know about you, but I’m going to go to bed.”
This was not the only puzzling comment made by the President. A peculiar story about John Wayne and his alleged interaction with “an Indian” preceded this, ending in Biden’s mock whispering routine.
This was swiftly followed by a visible confusion about which reporter to address next, culminating in a rather terse admonition, “I ain’t calling on ya! I’m calling on, it says I have five questions!”
He proceeded with, “Anita! VOA,” leading to the aforementioned China-centric question.
Biden’s presser was brought to an abrupt conclusion as his train of thought was interrupted by staff, signaling the end of the event. Yet, he managed to say a brief “thank you” before the music signaled his exit.
Such occurrences have intensified the already present concerns surrounding Biden’s cognitive health, which have persistently overshadowed his presidency and raised questions about his potential 2024 reelection campaign.
Biden “Forgot” His Press Secretary Went on Vacation
Adding to the existing speculations about President Biden’s cognitive well-being, another incident offers a curious insight. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, in an interview with Vogue’s podcast, recounted a personal experience during her recent vacation.
Jean-Pierre described her short break in New York as a rare moment of relaxation. Unexpectedly, during her vacation, she received a call on her personal phone.
“And there was one of the days where the president called me and he was looking for me. So he called. He called me on my phone and I was not looking at my work phone. And all sudden I got a call in my personal phone and my assistant was like, ‘Hey, the president is looking for you.’ And I was like, Oh, I guess he wouldn’t know that, you know, who’s on vacation,” she explained.
While this incident can be viewed as a lighthearted anecdote about the constant demands of a high-profile job, in the backdrop of the presser in Vietnam and other similar occurrences, it underscores the narrative that President Biden may sometimes be out of the loop or forgetful.

How much longer will the American people put up with Biden’s farce? Everywhere he goes, he makes a fool out of himself and the office of the Presidency.
The whole world is wondering why he is still in office – and, much of America is, too!
