Bipartisan Border Deal Slammed as ‘Stupid Bill’ by Trump

Former President Donald Trump, who is running another White House campaign, encouraged lawmakers on Wednesday to reject a not-yet-released bill that aims to combine border security reforms with aid for Ukraine and Israel. Trump took to Truth Social to criticize a purported section of the bill that Fox News reported would establish a threshold of a seven-day rolling average exceeding 5,000 encounters a day to trigger a Title 42-like authority to quickly remove migrants at the border.
“The illegal Aliens that are pouring into our Country are taking over our cities and attacking our police,” Trump said. “They are forming gangs, and they are tough. Close the Border, you do not need a ridiculous Border Bill that will allow 5000 people into our Country a day. Call it the ‘Stupid Bill’ and make sure it doesn’t get passed. It will make things MUCH WORSE. CLOSE THE SOUTHERN BORDER, NO BILL NECESSARY!!!”
The bill is a result of President Joe Biden’s request last year for roughly $106 billion in supplemental funds to spend on U.S. allies, including Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, as well as border security and humanitarian assistance. This led to bipartisan Senate talks on attaching immigration reforms sought by Republicans. While Biden has encouraged the endeavor, Trump urged Republicans not to settle on a compromise.
“I do not think we should do a Border Deal, at all, unless we get EVERYTHING needed to shut down the INVASION of Millions & Millions of people, many from parts unknown, into our once great, but soon to be great again, Country!” Trump said in a post to Truth Social earlier this month.
Trump’s sway within Congress is on the rise again following victories in the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire primary. The former president still faces a challenge from former South Carolina Governor and U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, but Trump has garnered endorsements from a growing number of Republican lawmakers.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-RY) has been supportive of the bipartisan talks. However, he reportedly told colleagues last week they face a “quandary” as Trump establishes himself as the GOP frontrunner in the 2024 presidential contest. “The politics on this have changed,” he said, according to Punchbowl News, referring to Trump as “the nominee” and stressing, “We don’t want to do anything to undermine him.”
Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said he has been in contact with Trump and indicated the Senate deal would be “dead on arrival” in the GOP-led House if rumors about it proved true. In particular, he warned on X, “Any border ‘shutdown’ authority that ALLOWS even one illegal crossing is a non-starter. Thousands each day is outrageous. The number must be ZERO.”
Two of the main negotiators in the upper chamber, Sens. Chris Murphy (D-CT) and Sen. James Lankford (R-OK), indicated this past weekend that they were close to finalizing a deal and felt good about the early feedback it was receiving. They also spoke about Trump’s sway in the matter.
Murphy told CNN the “bipartisan deal” may be in jeopardy if Republicans “listen to” Trump and reject the compromise. Lankford told CBS News that he was “looking forward to President Trump having the opportunity to be able to read it, like everybody else has,” and noted there is “a lot of misinformation out there right now.”
Clear Thoughts (op-ed)
The so-called “Stupid Bill” has recently been under fire from none other than former President Donald Trump, and for good reason. Combining border security reforms with aid for Ukraine and Israel, this bill seems more like a hodgepodge of priorities than a clear solution to our nation’s border crisis.
Trump’s concerns are valid, as the reported threshold of a seven-day rolling average exceeding 5,000 encounters a day to trigger a Title 42-like authority is simply not enough. Our cities are being overrun, and our police attacked by the influx of illegal immigrants. We need to take control of our southern border and not rely on a weak, ineffective bill.
Trump’s influence within Congress continues to grow, and it’s time for Republican lawmakers to listen. Compromising on a bill that does not address the immediate needs of our country is not the answer. We need strong, decisive action, not a watered-down attempt at appeasement.
Let us hope that our representatives in Congress take Trump’s words to heart and reject this “Stupid Bill” before it makes things much worse. Our border security and national sovereignty depend on it.

Joe Biden seems to find a way to get all the funding he asks for – never mind the additional debt we owe. He had no problem opening our southern borders as wide as possible and issuing detailed maps for anyone to enter our country. But now, suddenly, he has no idea how to close it. Guess he is afraid it might upset his cartel buddies. If he wants extra billions to send to his friends in Ukraine, he should ask the cartels for a contribution since he has allowed them to set up shop in our country without any interference.

The Biden administration wants the borders to remain open but they can’t say that when the majority of Americans want it closed. So they concoct his outrageous bill that actually codifies illegal immigration. The few restrictions that can be enacted after several thresholds have been met can be overridden by the president at will. This bill is intended to trick gullible voters into thinking Biden is doing something to close our border but will instead make it harder to close and restrict the number of days a year that it can be closed.

Better yet, yank every current politician and put them on trial. One party, 2 names. One objective ruin Americans and America. This is going to happen because end times are approaching. God says over and over not to put our faith in man.
All presidents but one blood relatives, going back to King John? Coincidental, or all fake? To make people think they have a say, beause there’s “Hope,” “build back better,” “Make America Great Again,” or the latest deceptive slogan, “safe & effective.”

There is only one cure! The American Citizens need to enact a Class Action Lawsuit against All Democrats, Elites, and RINOS for commiting Treason and the Destruction of America while pushing LGBTQ, Transgender, Abortions and allowing everyone from all countries including Drug Cartels into this beloved country while destroying our beloved country. The actions should also include the illegal election interference and removal of Donald J. Trump from the Elections ballots. All of these issues make me sick to my stomach. The Current Administration under the thumb of Obama, Soros, & Gates has sent aAmerica into a negative tail spin towards our total destruction. It is not only the African Americans, Hispanics Asians suffering under the current Administration but the Folks of other races are also suffering. I am a Viet Nam Era Veteran, who served our country honorably and am very worried that the American people who vote for Dems are really not paying attention to the hardships American citizens are having and the destruction of the Christian and Jewish Faiths that our country was founded on! I think Taylor Swift and her current Boy Fried are a total disgrace to what our country represents!

Ever since Biden became a president, we have hard time dealing with the borders that right now is way out of control. Like Trump said, too many are damaging our country and hurting people. Too many are not respecting out. We are not like how South America live. This is not America that I know. I understand why Texas is frustrating dealing with the borders. It does upset people who are trying to take over the USA. The border should be shutdown period. No more entries period. A lot of them are gangs, cartels, and perhaps have no education how to respect other people in the USA that we are used to. Right now, we need a better bill that will keep the immigrants or illegals out of our country. Right now it is in God’s hands.

Make no mistake about it, the border HAS to be SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY! This country has already allowed God knows how many terrorist, Cartel members, drug dealers, human traffickers, and outright criminals into this nation without any clue as to where they are or what they are doing. Illegals are committing crimes knowing that they are not going to be caught, and if they are caught, our wonderful justice system will release them out into the public again! All politicians who support ANY form of open border whatsoever should be tried for Treason! A country without borders is no country at all. Our enemies have been allowed to live among us and have been given all the time and resources they need to plan whatever attacks they want on us. Wake up America!

No bill is needed. No money s needed Biden can shut the border now if the Democrats, and a number of “republicans” are serious to protect the United States from invasion, which is what is really going on. When you effectively have no border – which is what we have – a complete open door allowing everyone, including their dead uncle in the world to freely enter.
Biden created this mess on Day 1 of his administration by canceling ALL of Trumps border polices and canceling building the wall with a stroke of his pen. He can fix it with another stroke of hie pen! AND follow existing immigration law! But he refuses and is guilty of Treason and on that should be removed from office! Not to mention all of the other Constitutional crimes he’s committed! Including Mayorkas!!!
