Police have seized several items, including dark clothing, medical gloves, and a flashlight, from the Pennsylvania home of Bryan Kohberger, a former doctoral student at Washington State University who has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder and burglary in connection with the stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students.

Kohberger’s DNA has also been swabbed, and an inventory of the seized items has been made public. The significance of these items is not currently known.

The bodies of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin were found on November 13, 2022, at a rental home near the University of Idaho campus in Moscow. Kohberger was arrested at his parents’ home in eastern Pennsylvania two months later. He has yet to enter a plea, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for late June.

Investigators also seized stained bedding, strands of hair, and a single glove from Kohberger’s Washington state apartment, but no weapon was found. A latent shoe print was found at the crime scene with a diamond-shaped pattern similar to the one found on Vans shoes.

Police suspected that blood would be found on Kohberger’s person, clothing, or shoes. However, no results from blood testing were reported in the search warrant.

During the investigation, police located a tan leather knife sheath next to one of the victims that had Ka-Bar, USMC, and the United States Marine Corps eagle globe and anchor insignia stamps on the outside of it.

The Idaho State Lab later found a single source of male DNA left on the button snap of the knife sheath. Further warrants from Kohberger’s arrest in Pennsylvania are due to be made public on Wednesday.
