An unfortunate incident has unfolded in Virginia involving a young rapper. Raleigh Freeman III, a seventeen-year-old known as Rylo Huncho, was streaming live on Instagram when he accidentally shot himself in the head.

Huncho, renowned for explicit lyrics and references to violence, was allegedly playing with a gun during his live stream. In one video, he is seen pretending to fire a gun and slit his throat while rapping about the ‘homicide’ of another individual.

During the live-stream, Huncho was seen wielding a handgun with a built-in laser. The report details that he then pointed the gun at his head, uttering an expletive, and seemingly unintentionally pulled the trigger. The gun discharged during the live-stream.

In the wake of the shocking incident, Huncho was immediately taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Suffolk, Virginia. Hours later, Twin Porter, a close “associate” of Huncho, shared the news of Huncho’s death via a Facebook post.

Porter expressed his heartbreak, stating, “And to get a text saying he passed away is heartbreaking and to hear the mean things y’all are saying about Railey [sic] is so wrong on every level please god give his mother the strength to deal with the devastating pain she’s in.”

Due to its shocking nature, the video of the incident quickly spread on social media. However, in respect for Huncho and his family, we have chosen not to share the footage.

Following his death, a GoFundMe page was set up by Monica Savage, believed to be Huncho’s cousin, with the goal of raising $15,000. Thus far, it has garnered nearly $2,700. Savage wrote on the page, “Suicide/accidental was the cause of his death we are still trying to figure out why.”

Huncho’s TikTok page reveals a disturbing pattern of violent content. In one post, he raps, “I tryin’ cut dat n***a neck and watch that n***a f***in’ [die].” In another, he talks about heavy drinking and possessing a weapon, “B***h, I walk up in this school sippin’ dirty lemonade. You know I feel just like a man cuz I walk off with a Glock.”

This tragic event has sparked conversations about the duties and influences of social media platforms on their younger users. The investigation into the specifics of his death is still underway.

    Where did he get the gun? sounds like someone else could be in big trouble for his death. Too bad for sure.
