  • Actress Shannen Doherty has accused her estranged husband, photographer Kurt Iswarienko, of delaying their divorce with the hope that she passes away before he is obligated to pay her spousal support.
  • Doherty states that her income has dropped due to her cancer treatments and her inability to work in the last year, while Iswarienko continues to live an extravagant lifestyle.
  • The former “90210” star has requested $15,343 monthly in spousal support from Iswarienko, as she battles stage 4 breast cancer.

In a recent legal filing, Shannen Doherty, who gained fame from her role in “90210,” openly accuses her estranged husband Kurt Iswarienko of prolonging their divorce proceedings in hope that she will pass away before he has to pay her spousal support.

“It simply isn’t right that Kurt can extend our divorce in hopes that I die before he has to pay me while he continues to lead his life and avoid his responsibilities to his dying wife of more than 11 years,” Doherty stated in the filing.

Doherty, 54, also criticized Iswarienko’s lavish spending habits, contrasting them with the significant drop in her income due to her ongoing battle with cancer and associated medical costs. The actress hasn’t worked in the last year, and her residuals from her past show “Charmed” have significantly diminished.

“Our assets are not challenging to characterize or divide,” she wrote in the court documents. “Our divorce should not be complicated. It is abundantly clear to me that Kurt is intentionally delaying the settlement in hopes that I will not survive the divorce proceedings.”

In the filing, Doherty requests $15,343 per month in spousal support from Iswarienko. “Kurt’s average annual earnings for the last three years of marriage was $672,916,” Doherty stated in the documents, adding, “My average annual earnings for the last three years of marriage was $259,708.”

“Despite Kurt’s income being substantially more than mine, he has not made any temporary spousal support payments and has not contributed to my attorneys’ or accounting fees and costs since the divorce action was filed.”

The actress married Iswarienko in 2011, and she filed for divorce in April 2023. Her struggles were further exacerbated when she had to undergo surgery to remove a brain tumor in January 2023, after discovering her husband’s alleged infidelity.

“I went into that surgery early in the morning and I went in after I found out that my marriage was essentially over, that my husband had been carrying on an affair for two years,” she shared. “To not go in that surgery, even though he wanted to go, I couldn’t go into that surgery with him there. I felt so betrayed.”

She further stated, “At the end of the day, I just felt so incredibly unloved by someone I was with for 14 years.”

According to the filing, Doherty claims that while she is unable to work and is spending a significant amount on her medical treatments, Iswarienko continues to live a luxurious life, spending thousands on medical spas, jewelry, Gucci, and flights for his agent, who Doherty alleges he is in a relationship with.

Doherty also accused Iswarienko of a “sadistic push and pull game” of withholding information about his income. Representatives for Doherty and Iswarienko have been contacted for comment.
