Report: North Korea threatens to start another war against US, South Korea

According to a Russian state-owned media outlet, North Korea through its embassy in Moscow sent a warning that it will use its nuclear weapons against the United States, describing it as a “particularly sensational event.”
The threat came in the form of a statement exclusively sent to the TASS news agency, a state-owned media known as a propaganda outlet for the Kremlin.
Quoting the embassy’s statement, the agency shared, “This year, the U.S. military has been carrying out various kinds of military maneuvers in South Korea and its vicinity with the purpose of striking North Korea quickly.”
“A new round of the Korean War will add a particularly sensational event to the history of mankind, which will put an end to another empire, whose name is the United States,” it added.
The statement was released days prior to the 70th anniversary of the beginning of the Korean War.
On June 25, 1950, the war between North and South began when Chinese and Soviet-backed forces from the North occupied the South. The US interfered in the war to support the South in the following weeks, saying it was a fight against communism on the global stage.
Last week, North Korea’s supreme leader Kim Jong Un allowed his sister, Kim Yo Jong, to blow up a liaison office between the North and the South. It had been operated with South Korea for the past two years.
Upon the explosion’s announcement, Kim Yo Jong described South Korea as “the enemy,” threatening that the south nation would witness the fall of the “useless” office soon.
“By exercising my power authorized by the supreme leader, our party and the state, I gave an instruction to the arms of the department in charge of the affairs with enemy to decisively carry out the next action,” Yo Jong said in a statement based on the report by North’s official Korean Central News Agency.
Recently, North Korea has been vocal on its efforts to strike an attack against the south through its own state-run news agency who announced that it is assembling anti-South propaganda leaflets “as big as a mountain.”
