Sirens and emergency alerts sounded across Tel Aviv and Jerusalem almost immediately after the president posted the temporary pause on social media.
Journalist Mike Tobin reported that the timeline between the ceasefire announcement and the incoming fire was less than five minutes.
He observed cluster munitions breaking up over Tel Aviv during a live broadcast as the Iranian military ignored the diplomatic opening.

President Trump previously warned that the Iranian regime would face severe consequences if it failed to meet American demands or attempted to block global shipping routes.
“Now, as far as the ceasefire agreement itself, what we’re hearing from Israeli officials is that they wanted to see more objectives achieved in this war before there was a ceasefire.”

The Iranian regime continues to face intense pressure after a Monday strike destroyed its largest petrochemical facility at the South Pars natural gas field.
American leadership has maintained a firm stance, stating that the Islamic Republic must comply with terms or face further destruction of its critical infrastructure.
