  • Trump reached a ceasefire deal with Iran and Israel before his deadline expired.

Hollywood actor George Clooney recently criticized President Donald Trump during an event in Italy. He targeted the commander-in-chief’s firm stance against Iran.

Clooney claimed that Trump’s warnings to the Iranian regime about destroying their civilization constituted a war crime.

“Some say Donald Trump is fine. But if anyone says he wants to end a civilization, that’s a war crime,” Clooney said.

“You can still support the conservative point of view, but there must be a line of decency, and we must not cross it,” he added.

The White House responded to the Hollywood critic by prioritizing his history of mediocre cinematic performances over his political opinions. Communications Director Steven Cheung suggested the actor’s real crimes were his contributions to the film industry.

“The only person committing war crimes is George Clooney for his awful movies and terrible acting ability,” Cheung wrote.

Clooney also expressed concern over the possibility of the United States withdrawing from NATO if European allies fail to support American interests. President Trump continues to evaluate the alliance’s value while demanding that member nations meet their financial and military obligations.

“I’m worried about NATO,” the actor stated.

“It has ensured that Europe, but also the rest of the world, has been safe. Dismantling an institution like this worries me,” he said.

The public feud continues a long history of friction between the President and the actor, who previously urged Joe Biden to exit the 2024 race. Trump has often noted that Clooney receives more attention for his political activism than for his struggling film career.
