Clear Facts

  • Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed an executive order for a state investigation into an attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
  • The suspect, a Democrat donor with a criminal record, was found on Trump’s golf course with a rifle and a truck bearing a Biden-Harris bumper sticker.
  • DeSantis emphasized that the state investigation will offer more transparency compared to a federal probe.

In a bold move, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has authorized a state-led investigation into the recent attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump. This decision follows the alarming discovery of a Democrat donor with a lengthy criminal record on one of Trump’s golf courses, armed with a rifle and in close proximity to the former president.

The suspect, who was also found with a truck displaying a Biden-Harris bumper sticker, has a controversial history. He authored a book urging Iran to assassinate Trump, raising serious questions about his intentions.

“The State of Florida is conducting its own investigation into the second attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump,” DeSantis declared.

He added, “It is not in the best interests of our state and nation to have the same federal agencies seeking to prosecute Trump leading this investigation.”

Governor DeSantis highlighted that the state has clear jurisdiction over the case, describing it as “the most serious, readily provable offense: attempted murder.”

He assured the public, “I have directed our state agencies to move expeditiously and to provide full transparency to the public. There will be accountability in Florida. The people of our state, and the entire country, deserve no less.”

Transparency is a cornerstone of this state-led probe. DeSantis emphasized, “What the state does is going to be made public.”

He elaborated, “I mean, you guys know who are from Florida, you can FOIA a lot of the stuff that’s done in these investigations under Florida sunshine laws. And then they have a charge to be very frank and exercise candor with the public. I want the information to get out. I do not want any of the information kept under wraps.”

With the state taking the reins, many are hopeful that this investigation will shed light on crucial details that might otherwise remain concealed in a federal probe. The public eagerly awaits the findings, as the transparency promised by DeSantis aims to ensure that justice is served openly and fairly.

I believe your state will seek answers to way the second time in a row the Secret Service SCREWED UP – quality of the agents should be questioned – background of the agents should be checked as to their experience before becoming an agent – size of individual being protected vs. size of agent (5 10 vs 6 2) leaves the person open for a head shot – total site review is lacking – communication is lacking in coordination – frequencies in use – todays weapons and their range – just some of the pertinent questions

Ditto to Lidio R Pagan’s comments – we ALL need more ‘real’ leaders like De Santis in our political system.

So very glad we decided to retire in Florida all those years ago.
