  • Chuck Todd advised Kamala Harris against running for California governor in 2026, suggesting it would hinder her potential presidential bid in 2028.
  • Todd noted the difficulty for a Democrat to win the governorship after 16 years of Democratic control in California.
  • Mark Halperin expressed skepticism about Harris’s ability to succeed in either a gubernatorial or presidential race, citing her aversion to making tough decisions under pressure.

Political analyst Chuck Todd has issued a cautionary note to Kamala Harris regarding her potential political ambitions in California. According to Todd, Harris’s decision to run for governor in 2026 could significantly impact her chances of pursuing a presidential campaign in 2028.

“Boy, I would be shocked if she does. If she wants to run for president in ’28, you can’t run for governor of California in ’26,” Todd remarked, emphasizing the strategic dilemma Harris might face.

Todd further elaborated on the challenges a Democrat might encounter in securing the governorship after an extended period of one-party dominance in the state. He pointed out, “Here’d be my warning to any conventional Democrat running for governor of California in ’26: Go look at the track record of any political party trying to win a governorship for basically for 20 straight years.”

Additionally, Todd highlighted the potential disadvantage Harris might face due to her established political background. He suggested that voters might be seeking a fresh face, stating, “Governor is the one place where voters won’t always vote their jersey color, and I think voters are going to be looking for somebody from the outside.”

Mark Halperin, another political analyst, echoed Todd’s concerns, suggesting that Harris would encounter significant obstacles in any future political endeavors. “I think her chance[s] of being governor of California are greater than being the Democratic nominee, but I don’t think they’re as great as people say,” Halperin commented, pointing to Harris’s reluctance to make difficult decisions under pressure.

Halperin also questioned Harris’s motivation to pursue the governorship, considering the current challenges facing California. “It’s not a great job right now, and so why she’d run and risk losing, and then if she did win, get the job — I’m not really sure,” he concluded.

Chuck seems to be under the delusion that Harris would be a great candidate for President. The so-called political analyst seems to be sold on Harris and doesn’t want her to screw up her chances at the 2028 nomination. The whole problem with the left coast is they are stuck on their crazy ways of thinking. Wisdom would dictate they flush out the dead wood. How Adam Schiff was elevated to the Senate is a miracle of our times. It’s almost like the voters promote incompetence.

Political analyst Chuck Todd? Try failed leftist hack.
Camel-a….”would hinder her potential presidential bid in 2028.”

First, Chuck, she would have to figure out WHY she lost 2024, and that will never happen. Also, a stint at Alcoholics Anonymous wouldn’t hurt either.
