Tucker Carlson has revealed that he recently conducted an interview with Masoud Pezeshkian, the newly elected president of Iran. This announcement comes on the heels of a brief military conflict between the United States and Iran.
In a video statement, Carlson emphasized the importance of allowing the American public to hear directly from foreign leaders, particularly during times of military engagement.
“We just finished up an interview with Masoud Pezeshkian, who is the president of Iran… We know we’ll be criticized for doing this interview. Why did we do it anyway? Well, we did it because we were just at war with Iran 10 days ago and maybe again,” Carlson explained.
Pezeshkian, a 70-year-old heart surgeon, recently took office following the death of former president Ebrahim Raisi. Carlson acknowledged that there might be skepticism regarding the reliability of Pezeshkian’s statements.
“Can you believe everything you hear from the president of Iran? Probably not. But that’s not the point. The point is you should be able to decide for yourself whether you believe it or not,” Carlson stated.
The interview did not delve into specific military details, such as the impact of U.S. strikes on Iran’s nuclear program, as Carlson deemed these answers “unknowable.” Instead, the discussion focused on broader topics, including Iran’s objectives and its stance toward the United States and Israel.
Carlson also mentioned his ongoing efforts to secure an interview with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, expressing hope that this request will eventually be granted.
The interview with President Pezeshkian was conducted remotely with the assistance of a translator and is anticipated to be released in the coming days.

That is cheap journalistic ego, not information. Carlson knows that Pezeshkian will be pushing propaganda, and is not interested in objective truth.

I think comments should be reserved until after the release of the interview. Tucker Carlson seems to practice a greater level of professionalism in his journalistic efforts then most in the present news process.

Does the president of Iran even have any official say in the nation’s business, or is he just a puppet for show? Anybody know?
