Clear Facts
- Rep. Jim Jordan advocates for a thorough investigation into the origins of the discredited claims about Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia during the 2016 election.
- Documents released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard suggest a “years-long coup” against Trump, allegedly initiated by Obama and senior officials.
- Obama’s spokesperson dismissed these allegations as “outrageous” and a “weak attempt at distraction.”
In a recent interview, Ohio Representative Jim Jordan emphasized the necessity of a comprehensive investigation into the origins of the now-debunked allegations that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign. Jordan, who leads the House Judiciary Committee, expressed his belief that this inquiry should be “pursued to the fullest extent.”
The discussion follows the release of documents and a memo by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. These documents detail what Gabbard described as a “years-long coup” against Trump, orchestrated after his victory over Hillary Clinton in 2016. Jordan claimed that the plot was devised in the Oval Office by then-President Barack Obama and several senior officials.
Jordan recounted a critical meeting on December 9, 2016, where key figures such as Comey, Clapper, Brennan, McCabe, and Lynch were present. He stated, “It’s between election day and inauguration day, and they’re figuring out what to do.” According to him, it was during this meeting that Obama decided not to accept the intelligence community’s assessment that there was no collusion between Trump and Russia.
He further elaborated on the alleged plans to “trap and undermine” Trump, citing a warning from Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer that the intelligence community could target Trump “six ways from Sunday.” Jordan praised Gabbard for releasing the documents, suggesting it was “exactly the right thing” to do.
When questioned about the potential consequences for those involved in the alleged plot, Jordan responded, “That’s going to be up to the Attorney General and the Justice Department.” He stressed the importance of gathering evidence and conducting a thorough investigation, adding, “I do think it should be pursued to the fullest extent.”
In response to these allegations, Obama’s spokesperson Patrick Rodenbush issued a statement dismissing the claims as “outrageous” and a “weak attempt at distraction.” Rodenbush emphasized that the findings from the documents do not undermine the widely accepted conclusion that Russia attempted to influence the 2016 election, although no votes were manipulated.
The controversy continues to unfold as the political landscape grapples with the implications of these revelations. As the investigation progresses, the call for accountability and justice remains a focal point for those involved in the inquiry.

Actually, Obama’s denial is a weak one.

Obama has been deeply involved in everything that has been done against Trump, EVERYTHING. It all started when Trump beat Obamas hand picked successor, Hillary Clinton. Even up to election day the odds of Clinton being elected were 90%. The fact that the MSM had done it’s utmost/best job of propaganda spinning had people believing the 90% was accurate. But it wasn’t. Trump trounced Clinton mostly because Clinton was not liked by a majority of voters and Obama’s heir apparent. She was after all “Hildbeast” and the wife of a disgusting President.

Jim Jordan can “demand” all he wants but in the end, unfortunately, it will be like all the other “demands”, nothing but political posturing and we the people will still be mushrooms as usual.

Agreed! More Sound and Fury! Loud and angry words that attract a lot of attention but do nothing useful.

Also agree, but with every open investigation of the dems misdeeds, it seems that Trumps approval rating increases, and the dem party approval decreases.
