In a recent segment with CNN’s Gayle King, NBA legend Charles Barkley made a shocking threat towards black supporters of Donald Trump. Barkley, known for his outspoken nature, didn’t mince words when expressing his disdain for Trump’s comments about his popularity among some black individuals.
“You know who embraced more than anybody else? The Black population,” Trump had said. “It’s incredible. You see Black people walking around with my mugshot – you know they do shirts.”
Barkley’s response to these comments was swift and severe. “First of all, I’m just gonna say this,” he threatened. “If I see a Black person walking around with a Trump mugshot, I’m gonna punch him in the face.”

King was taken aback by Barkley’s violent proclamation, to which he added, “Oh, I mean that sincerely!” Barkley even went as far as to say he wouldn’t mind getting arrested for assaulting a black Trump supporter, stating, “I’m gonna bail myself out and go celebrate.”
Barkley’s disdain for Trump’s comments extended beyond the mugshot issue. He was also offended by what he perceived as Trump comparing his experiences to the historical discrimination faced by black people. “First of all, if I was at that [conference], I would’ve got up and walked out,” Barkley said. “That was an insult to all Black people. To compare Black history, where we’ve been discriminated against, to his plight.”
Barkley did not elaborate on how he believed Trump made this comparison, but he was adamant that Trump’s wealth and status made any such comparison invalid. “It’s not a fair comparison,” he insisted. “He’s a billionaire, he’s had a great life, he’s been President of the United States. To insult Black people who have been discriminated against all these years and put them in the same category, I was just offended.”
Barkley is no stranger to making controversial statements. In the past, he has supported the radical transgender movement, criticized Bud Light boycotters as “redneck assholes,” and suggested that the American people can’t be trusted to vote because Donald Trump won the 2020 election.

In a display of shocking intolerance, NBA legend Charles Barkley openly threatened to assault black supporters of Donald Trump. This violent rhetoric is not only unbecoming of a public figure, but it also highlights the double standard that exists in our society today.
Imagine if a conservative figure had made similar threats against black supporters of a Democrat. The outrage would be swift and deafening. Yet, when Barkley makes such a statement, it is met with little more than a shrug.
This hypocrisy is a sad reflection of the current state of discourse in our country. Instead of engaging in rational debate, some individuals like Barkley resort to threats and intimidation. It’s time we hold everyone accountable for their words and actions, regardless of their political leanings or celebrity status.

Charles won’t actually punch anyone, because he’s too much of a coward. Unfortunately, he will inspire other Blacks to do it, which will lead to serious injuries and probably deaths. Let’s see how tough he is when he gets sued in civil court by the victims and their families!

I have no idea how many greenbacks he has stashed but I suspect he’s gonna lose a bunch of them. I’m the ‘wrong’ skin tone so I guess he would leave me alone but if he did punch me not only would he be subject to pre-meditated assault charges – likely felony level due to disparity of force issues, but elder abuse as well.

I guess Charles forgot what his last Assult cost him. Back in the 90’s while he was still playing he spit on a fan. Many nights after he had to fly back to NJ to appear in a East Rutherford Courtroom because he was charged under NJ law with Assault. I can’t remember what fine the Judge finally hit him with but it’s obvious it wasn’t enough seeing he just went very public claiming he will Assault anyone and everyone wearing that shirt. If I lived in his area your darn right I’d wear that shirt everyday while walking in the neighborhood. Charles was never the brightest bulb in the box or the smartest in his class. I say that because him stating he will punch anyone wearing it in the face is in itself a Crime called Communicating a Threat and in many Jurisdictions that is a Felony. Let’s hope that the Lawsuits against him come in by the Hundreds

Barkley is just plain ignorant. First he says Trump has no right to compare his experiences (which Barkley never defines) to Blacks because he’s a billionaire and has had a good life…then, in the next breath he says he doesn’t care if he gets arrested for punching someone in the face because he’ll just bail himself out (with the great money he makes) and go on to have a celebration.
