Madonna, the renowned recording artist, recently opened up about a profound experience she had during a serious medical event last summer. She believes she heard the voice of God during this near-death experience.

After waking up from a four-day medically induced coma, the first word she said was indicative of her strong will to survive. “This show every night is not really so hard on me physically. It’s hard on me emotionally because I’m really telling you the story of my life. My heart is on my sleeve,” she shared during a Los Angeles stop on her Celebration Tour, as reported by People.

“I’ve fallen off a lot of horses and broken a lot of bones … but nothing can stop me,” she continued, demonstrating her resilience.

Madonna also reflected on her time in the hospital. “I’m pretty sure that was God saying to me, ‘Do you want to come? Want to come up with me? [I said] no,’” she said, which elicited laughter from the audience.

The “Material Girl” singer also recounted a conversation with her manager, Guy Oseary, about her plans post-hospitalization. “He said, ‘Well, when do you think you want to go back on tour?’ I took the oxygen out of my nose. I looked at him, and I said, ‘In two f****ing months!” she said.

“I just said it. Sometimes you just have to say sh** [and] put it out in the universe. And it happens.”

In June 2023, Madonna was reportedly revived with Narcan and spent several days in the ICU due to a serious bacterial infection. This event forced her to postpone her concert tour, which she has since resumed.

The Grammy Award-winner shared more about her recovery process. “I would call in every other day and ask [my doctor] why I didn’t have any energy, when was my energy going to come back? When was I going to feel like myself again? When can I go on tour again?” she said.

“All he would say is, ‘Go outside in the sun’ … It was so hard for me to walk from my house to the backyard and sit in the sun. I know that sounds insane, but it was difficult.”

Madonna concluded her revelation by sharing the lesson she learned from this ordeal. “It’s a strange thing to finally not feel like I was in control, and that was my lesson: to let go,” she added.

Clear Thoughts (op-ed)

Madonna’s recent revelation about her near-death experience and hearing the voice of God serves as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. It’s a powerful reminder that even the most successful and seemingly invulnerable among us can face life-altering challenges.

This pop icon’s determination to return to her tour just two months after a severe bacterial infection demonstrates her unwavering commitment to her craft and her fans. It’s a lesson in perseverance and the importance of setting goals, even in the face of adversity.

In an age where many celebrities and public figures are quick to embrace victimhood, Madonna’s story serves as an inspiring alternative. Rather than focusing on what was taken from her, she chose to learn from her experience and ultimately come out stronger, both emotionally and spiritually.

The lesson of letting go of control, as Madonna shared, is a timely reminder for us all. In a world that often feels chaotic and unpredictable, it’s important to recognize that we can’t control everything, but we can control our determination and resilience in the face of adversity.

Sorry, but I think that God doesn’t want her up there with him…….unless…..she REPENTS and changes her ways.

    Madonna: “God, is that you?”

God: “Yes. Put some clothes on. You’re too old to be running around like that.”

    God to Madonna:
What kind of filthy language are you using in front of kids?
You make my Christian friend who also sings look like an angel. I told my kids not to use bad words because they would be scolded by teachers or their friend’s parents. Not to mention that I did not use those words in front of them.
The other thing that stars do not face is that in MOST professions, that kind of language makes one appear to be trailer trash. 🙂
