CNN’s chief data analyst, Harry Enten, noted that the percentage of Americans who believe the nation is on the right track has increased under Trump’s leadership. Enten highlighted that Trump’s net approval rating is nearing its highest point.
Carville, responding to a listener’s question on the “Politics War Room” podcast, expressed his concerns about the country’s future. He stated, “I’m worried about the future of the United States, and I’m not exactly sure how we can deal with this, but deal with it we’re going to have to.”
He added, “It’s a dire situation. And my only hope is, and I think it might be happening, is the public is going to have to solve this for us.”
Recent polling data supports Enten’s analysis. A Marist survey revealed that 45% of Americans believe the U.S. is on the correct path, a figure that ranks as the second-highest recorded since 2009. Similarly, a poll found that 44% of respondents felt the same way, marking the best result since 2004.
Enten remarked, “The bottom line is the percentage of Americans who say we’re on the right track is through the roof.” He compared these figures to historical data, noting that when incumbent parties are reelected, around 42% of the country typically believes the nation is on the right track.
Moreover, Enten pointed out that Trump’s popularity is higher than it has been historically. He explained, “All we talk about is how unpopular Donald Trump is. But in reality, he’s basically more popular than he was at any point in term number one.”
Despite these numbers, there are signs of Democratic resilience. Democratic East Petersburg Borough Mayor James Andrew Malone narrowly won a Pennsylvania State Senate special election in a district that Trump had previously carried by a significant margin. This victory suggests that while Trump maintains strong support, there are areas where Democrats are making inroads.

It’s a darn shame that Carville seems to be a perpetual pessimist. He not only says the country is in a dire situation because of DJT, but is concerned with the future of the United States. He has previously expressed pessimism about his beloved Democratic Party, so apparently there is no hope anywhere. In the meantime, if Americans are so much in favor of Trump, why is that something that needs to be reversed? Although media geniuses and Dems in general kept pushing Biden’s superior mental fitness, while they knew differently. Carville and the rest of the Dems need to get their act together and come over to what mainstream Americans are really thinking. If they don’t like what a majority of Americans are thinking, what does that tell you? But the Dem party of lost causes carries on with their ridiculous positions.
