George Clooney joined Travis and Jason Kelce on the “New Heights” podcast, sparking a candid conversation about long-term relationships. Clooney referenced his ten-year marriage to Amal Clooney, claiming they have not argued during that time.
“You claim that you and your wife haven’t gotten in a fight in 10 years. Are you lying?” Travis asked with a smile.
Clooney replied, “No, I’m not lying,” and turned the question to Travis, who said his relationship with Taylor Swift has also been smooth.
“Well, it’s only been two and a half years, and you’re right. I haven’t gotten into an argument, never once,” Kelce answered.
Clooney explained that he and Amal see no value in fighting, saying, “Neither of us are going to win the argument, so why get in?”
He added, “Dude, I’m 64 years old. And what am I going to argue about at this point? You know? I’ve met this incredible woman that is … she’s beautiful and smart, and she stands for all the most important things I believe in the world. And I can’t believe how lucky I am. So, what am I going to fight about?”
Travis mentioned, “I’m just taking notes this whole time, big guy. You don’t even know.” Clooney encouraged the Kelce brothers to follow his example for healthy relationships.
George and Amal Clooney married in Venice, Italy, in 2014 and welcomed twins Ella and Alexander in 2017. Clooney shared that he and his wife moved their family to the French countryside to keep their children away from Hollywood influences.
“I was worried about raising our kids in L.A., in the culture of Hollywood. I felt like they were never going to get a fair shake at life,” he said.
The family avoids drama and fame, choosing quiet places like France. Clooney and Amal own homes in Italy, England, and France.
