A newly released document from the House Oversight Committee sheds light on Jeffrey Epstein’s personal circle through a 238-page ‘birthday book’ curated by Ghislaine Maxwell in 2003.

The scrapbook contains written messages and photographs of Epstein, friends, and prominent individuals alongside family moments and childhood artwork.

Maxwell wrote to Epstein at the book’s opening that she wanted to gather stories and old photographs to remind him of different times and people.

She expressed hope that Epstein would enjoy looking through the book as much as she enjoyed making it.

One photo captioned ‘the first date’ shows Maxwell and Epstein together in 1991, offering a glimpse into their relationship’s early days.

Among the book’s notes, former President Bill Clinton praised Epstein’s ‘childlike curiosity’ and drive to impact those around him.

“Dear Jeffrey, as a birthday gift to you, I managed to obtain an early version of the Vanity Unfair article. I talked them into changing the focus from you to Bill Clinton, as you will see from the enclosed excerpt. Happy birthday and best regards,” wrote Alan Dershowitz, joking about media coverage.

Epstein’s mother, Pauline Epstein, contributed a heartfelt note: “Jeff[,] you have been a good son since day one and we have been proud of you ever since.”

She recalled moments from Epstein’s childhood, adding, “I recall you refused to sleep [as a child] unless I read a story from Grandma’s Golden Book that she bought for 25c.”

Pauline Epstein reflected on her son’s bachelor status and accomplishments, writing, “At age 27 Cosmopolitan magazine featured you as ‘Bachelor of the Month.’ Today you still hold that title.”

She lamented that Epstein’s father could not share the family’s pride in his achievements, saying, “He would have been overjoyed reading the article about you in New York Magazine.”

The book contains hundreds of photos, including Epstein’s childhood and teenage pictures, along with candid images of friends and acquaintances.

Other images depict Epstein in informal settings, interacting with women, and even animal photography such as lions and zebras.

One caption alongside a woman’s bikini photo humorously remarks, “Visiting you down in Palm Beach. Can’t get a second of privacy with you and a camera around ha ha!”

Ghislaine Maxwell remains imprisoned for her role in Epstein’s criminal activities but insists she did not participate in the abuse of minors, telling officials she only remembers parts of the book after so many years.

Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., stated, “Oversight Committee Republicans are focused on running a thorough investigation to bring transparency and accountability for survivors of Epstein’s heinous crimes and the American people.”
